It happened long back, but observations of Rajni are coming true with the career of NTR, particularly after poor show of "Ramayya Vasthavayyy"... and tottering "Rabhasa". Actually, superstar Rajnikanth watched the NTR's movie "Simhadri" since Supergood films wanted to remake it in Tamil, with Robo star, since Telugu version was a blockbuster. After declining to do the remake, Rajni asked producers, what was the age of NTR who did the lead role and to his shutter shock, got to know, that the grandson of NTR, was 21-plus age and breathed fire in angry role.
"I did such larger-than-life roles roles while I was nearing 40 years, but NTR surprised me with his high voltage larger-than-life role at such an young age. If he continues, like this, what would be left for him to do 10 years down the line, around 30 years of his age" he reportedly observed. Later, the remake was dun by another actor Vijayakanth, but didn't do well. But Rajni's observation is relevant, since NTR is not getting the roles that suit his powerful persona and needs to pick on the 'stronger scripts' that would satiate his huge following.
